Tales Of Orelia

Date of Completion: 11/12/2019

Orelia is a fantasia world filled with Sorcery, Conquest and Discovery. Divided into four regions, The scorching desert of Amiri, Enchanted Cimmerian Forest, Snowy mountains of Serenna and the great plains of Efeskdell.

 

300 Years have passed since the old kingdoms were at peace, where each region had more eqaulity than just trading prospects. Now they have been dicatated by cruel bandit kings after the devastation act of the second era was decreed by their leader, Boska the Undefeated who has scarred each land in blood and reckoning.

Studio Job Role: Lead Designer/WorldBuilder

Tales of Orelia is a game created by Lazy Tank Studios that consists of 20 students based at Solent University.

Overall outcome and reflection:

During my experience in the studio. I grasped a recognisable view in what the aspects of the gaming industry would be like with a large group of developers, especially involving myself through each department. I have gained a beneficial amount of understanding the ins and outs of team vitality. Being in the core of design gave me a sense of purpose within the studio to strive for the best idea with everyones appeal. It is not just about the obstacles you overcome during your experience, but finding your footing and making something to be proud of and I would not have found such a gripping experience during University. The project overall was tough, but worth every moment. Especially when you have passion for your own creation as I was with coming up with the story, the world and the title itself.
