GDO750 Major Project - Week 1 - Research

_______________________________________________________________________

Greetings all! welcome to my first of many blog posts for my upcoming final major project. It took me alot of consideration when it came to the project name as I feel once you have the name of the idea, it helps you lead to how and what you want the idea to be from an initial concept to a polished and playable piece. I kickstarted the research itself last month, which dragged alot of influences from similar titles already in the industry, as well as some concepts from relevant movies. Below you can find some similar titles from my conducted research.

I did not have much to show in the first week due to external issues outside of my started that took over the time I would have allocated further to kickstart the project. With the restricted time I allowed myself, I was able to construct from my pre-conceptual research a potential idea towards my project proposal which is on the 3rd November. This allows me to start setting up the foundations of the project by scheduling a set level of commitment each week, with a minimum of 20 hours to keep the project in a manageable state.

I look forward to seeing where the project is going to take me in the next few weeks, once the overal idea has been finalised and that I can progress further out of the conceptual stage. Please check out my development video that covers further in-depth discussion on the upcoming title; Condemned: Souls of the Veil. Stay tuned as this project takes off and the journey that awaits!
